InfoCarro is a web platform that allows anyone to look up the history of a vehicle registered in Portugal using its licence plate or VIN. Built from scratch by our team, the platform aggregates data from public and private sources and presents it in a detailed report. It’s helping buyers, sellers, and automotive professionals make better-informed decisions.
Challenge & Solution
Buying a used car in Portugal carries real risk. Odometer fraud alone accounts for average deviations of 70,000 km per affected vehicle — a figure that can dramatically affect a car’s true value and safety. Beyond fraud, buyers face fragmented information, outdated records, and no single reliable source to verify a vehicle’s history before making a decision.
We built InfoCarro to address this directly: a platform designed for buyers, enthusiasts, and professionals in the automotive and insurance sectors, giving them fast, reliable, and intuitive access to the data that matters. Users can check a vehicle’s history before committing, get detailed documentation for any car, and compare options with confidence.
The platform was built around three core principles — mission (simplifying access to accurate vehicle data), reliability (data verified from official sources), and speed (results in seconds). Special care was taken in how the product communicates uncertainty and data limitations, ensuring users always have a clear and honest picture of what the report covers.

Impact
Since launch, InfoCarro has grown quickly, validating real demand for transparency in Portugal’s used car market. In just two months, the platform surpassed 1,500 reports sold, a clear signal of the trust users placed in the product from day one.
The project remains in active development, with ongoing work on analytics, backoffice tooling, feedback collection, and continuous improvement of report content.
